Happy is the Featured Feline for Friday, June 14, 2013

ff-AdoptHappy"Don't worry, be happy."

Everything seems to agree with this special green-eyed boy! Happy seems to always be looking on the bright side and is very grateful to be rescued.

Happy was left behind his previous home for one reason or another.  The house he then chose as his did not have a vacancy sign up and was not able to keep this very sweet boy.  He is a young cat with a carefree, fun-loving attitude.

ADOPTED! Charley is the Featured Feline for Friday, June 7, 2013

ff-AdoptCharley
She's smokin'!

This gorgeous girl is wearing the most beautiful smoke-colored coat that will make you just want to reach out and touch her. Charley is easy to connect with and enjoys your hand caressing her.

Feline Friends was happy to transfer Charley to the "Cat House" from Animal Services.  She has done well, is quiet and calm yet always happy to have your attention focused on her.

Millie is the Featured Feline for Friday, May 31, 2013

ff-AdoptMMillie1

Thoroughly Modern Millie.

With her sights set on a forever home, Millie knows exactly what she wants. Millie has already been a rescue and in one home and she wants to land a new home and avoid being a "rescue" cat again.

Millie was in her home for about 8 years prior to coming back into a rescue organization.  She was an only pet and would do well in a quieter home.

ADOPTED! Sherman is the Featured Feline for Friday, May 24, 2013

ff-AdoptSherman2A new world ...

Sherman lived with a man who was a hoarder. Though it was peaceful, with the man's death Sherman lost his only friend and his home.

Sherman has moved on now and is very happy and responsive. Understandably, if approached too quickly he is still a bit unsure what will be happening; however, once he knows it's all about him, he is one happy guy.

Sherman truly appreciates consistency and being loved. Don't we all!

ADOPTED! Oceana is the Featured Feline for Friday, May 17, 2013

ff-AdoptOceana2
In and out like the tide.

Oceana is one beautiful lady with schoolgirl charm and a large vocabulary. "Oshi" is looking for a companion that is stable and ready for a commitment.

Oshi has a desire to live where there are less cats sharing her space. It's not that she is bothered by other cats, she just wants room to be free and someone to carry on conversations and share stories with her.

ADOPTED! Diesel is the Featured Feline for Friday, May 10, 2013

ff-AdoptDieselWaiting at the gas pump for a full and happy ending.

Diesel is young, handsome, and has obviously been treated poorly. Although he lacks some of the social skills of proper cat behavior, he is a fast learner and is adapting well.

Although he has had a rough beginning, we all believe in a happy endings and Diesel deserves nothing less. He has a lot of energy and would do well with another cat to play and grow up with and a family to love him forever.

Maimie was adopted from Feline Friends as a kitten and came back due to an ear polyp.  After a surgery to remove the polyp, she is a happy and healthy free-spirited little darling. Maimie is about 11 months old and still has a long healthy life ahead of her.

ff-AdoptRita1Lovely Rita.

There is no need to inquire discreetly about this sweet maiden. Please come to meet her and win her affections with kind words and she will promise to tow your heart away.

Rita was left outside of the home that she once occupied with a family.

Rita would do well in a quiet home.

ADOPTED! Jif is the Featured Feline for Friday, April 19, 2013

ff-AdoptJifChoosy mothers choose Jif!

Jif is a big and gentle soul and not sure about living with a rescued group of cats although he is secretly doing very well. He would love a quiet home with other cats and a hand to rub his belly.

Last summer he was rescued from a hoarding situation and has been looking for a new family ever since.

He's shy at first but very affectionate once he trusts you. He loves other cats and really needs to join a family that already has at least one cat. He feels lonely when he doesn’t have a cat buddy to cuddle and play with. His foster home has three cats and they all play and nap together.

His favorite pastime is getting belly rubs and tummy kisses and is really affectionate yet not at all clingy.

Valentine is the Featured Feline for Friday, April 12, 2013

ff-AdoptValentineA darling little lady with a big heart.

Left by her owner after moving out of the area, a kind couple took mercy on her and kept her safe. She is very happy and would like nothing more than to share her love with YOU.

It is never too late to have a special Valentine in your life.  Quiet and unassuming, Valentine is an easy-keeper and easy to please and will warm your heart for years to come.

ADOPTED! Rhett is the Featured Feline for Friday, April 5, 2013

ff-Rhett
Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn!

As long as he is safe, as long as he is warm and as long as he is no longer needing to search out food, Rhett is ready to accept love.

Rhett was going door to door in a Senior Mobile Home Park in Mason County looking cute to get handouts.  Management made a decision that all cats had to be leashed or indoors and Rhett had no home to go to.  Do you have a home for Rhett?

ADOPTED! Kit and Polly are the Featured Felines for Friday, March 29, 2013

ff-AdoptKitPollyBonded and beautiful.

Kit and Polly are not biological brother and sister, yet they were raised in the same foster home. Just adorable teenagers wanting a forever loving home ... together. They would thrive in a quiet home with lots of toys and endless love, and they would return the affection and friendship while providing you with cheap and endless entertainment.

Trillium is the Featured Feline for Friday, March 22, 2013

ff-AdoptTrilliumA special flower.

Trilly is a darling little girl who is as pretty as the flower she is named after, but she will only continue to thrive if someone chooses her as their companion.

Trillium has had a lot of changes in her life over the last two years. After showing up at a kind and compassionate home where she could not reign over the household cat, she was forced to come into our facility. Angry for months, Trillium has finally settled in and loves to meet and greet the public as they come into the Cat House and Adoption Center.  She is certain that she wants to make the right choice for her new family.  Trillium supervises the volunteers and oversees the daily happenings and patrols the premises to ensure that all is well and in place. Come meet this beautiful girl and see if she claims you as her own.

Sandy is the Featured Feline for Friday, March 15, 2013

ff-AdoptSandyLook at me, I am Sandy. I did not roll in like the hurricane or dance in the movie Grease, although I am a survivor and I do want to make an impact on your life. Low impact.

Sandy was found wandering in the Steamboat Island area and found a feline friendly home to watch out for her while the weather was wet and cold.  She was thin from lack of nutrition; however, she is now at a good weight and making the most of her time while awaiting her new forever home.  Sandy is an easy-keeper, low maintenance, and still has a lot of spunk for being a little older girl.  She is beautiful and will warm your heart and your lap.

ADOPTED! D'Angelo is the Featured Feline for Friday, March 8, 2013

ff-AdoptDAngelo2From the angels.

It must have been divine intervention that brought D'Angelo to us, as his owner was trying to get him to the animal shelter from the bus station in downtown Olympia. Now D'Angelo awaits you to be the next one into his life to keep him safe from harm and loved forever.

D'Angelo was spared from an inescapable outcome, which is the result of so many unwanted cats.  We feel we made the right choice to allow D'Angelo to come to our organization.  His male hormones are calming with each day since he as been neutered and he is adjusting well to the the changes that were made abruptly in his life.

D'Angelo is still young and full of life, sporting his Tuxedo medium-haired coat. We feel certain he will capture a heart soon.

Wonder is the Featured Feline for Friday, March 1, 2013

FF-AdoptWonderinsinkWonder full!

She wants to be loved by you and only you! Being the one and only in your life and you in hers is very important to Wonder. She craves the attention and love. We know she is wonderful, though we must wonder why she was left in an open-top carrier between two parked cars.

Wonder is a true joy and, when she decides to love you, she gives herself quietly and loves to give you nose rubs and wants your gentle hand.  She prefers to be the one and only in your life and soak up all the special attention that you can give.

ADOPTED! Tucker is the Featured Feline for Friday, February 22, 2013

FF-AdoptTucker_1Travels with Tucker.

She came a long way to look for a home. This young lady has her bags packed and her passport handy. She has studied abroad and chose to live in the U.S.A. and would like very much to have a home of her own.

Tucker came to the USA from Kuwait.  She was rescued off the streets where cats are left to fend for themselves; however, in this case international teachers were unable to leave this very special and intelligent girl behind.  Tucker is very responsive with high energy.

ADOPTED! Cali is the Featured Feline for Friday, February 15, 2013

FF-AdoptCali_1True Calico.

Trust me, it is my way or you go your own way.  I am beautiful, I am loving, and I deserve the best.  Strong on the outside, just a girl wanting love from within.

Calicos are easily recognized because of their fascinating tri-colored fur. They have parti-colored coats which is predominantly white with brown or black patches.  They have been perceived as cats with unpredictable dispositions.  Although, we feel that they are just being sassy, spunky and usually more independent.

Cali has been waiting for several years to find that special forever home. She was in another rescue group for several years and, we know that her home is coming soon.  She has a lot of talent, charm and good looks.

Come meet this darling lady.

ADOPTED! Judy is the Featured Feline for Friday, February 8, 2013

Judy is a Torti-Point Himalayan and she is approximately 5 years old. Judy was transferred to Feline Friends when another rescue group went out of business, leaving Judy looking for a home. Judy was with the other rescue group about 4 years.

Judy had a significant dental problem that was treated when we got her. She lost all of her teeth except her incisors and she is healed and ready for a new home.

Judy is enjoying feeling better and wants to run and play and is a very sweet-natured girl that will bring a lot of joy and love into your heart and homes.

Come be the judge, meet Judy!

ADOPTED! Ajax is the Featured Feline for Friday, February 1, 2013

FFAdoptAjax_5 Meow ... Are you talking to me? Hearing aids and a loving home! Rescued and ready after being dumped and displaced with special needs. Ajax, although deaf, is sweet, loving and ready to be loved and find his forever loving home.

Ajax was brought to the local animal shelter by his former owner.  Since he was unable to adjust to the shelter environment he was not going to have a chance for a new home.  Feline Friends was called and, of course, we want to help save all the cats that we can so, Ajax was transferred to our organization.  He is a very social cat, loves to be up on your shoulders, and he enjoys a good catnip toy.  Ajax is a large white boy with a touch of orange on the top of his head and is also odd eyed, one blue and one yellow eye.

Come by the Cat House and Adoption Center on Saturday and meet Ajax and all of our special feline friends.

Their Cat House and Adoption Center is located at 6515 Sexton Drive NW, Olympia (Hwy 101 and Steamboat Island Road), 360-866-0599.
