Rocket Races: For Rocket Races, participants will craft propeller-driven balsa rockets powered by rubber bands. They are shaped and decorated in advance, then raced along a monofilament line in competition. Rocket kits are on sale now for $5. This activity teaches the principles of jet propulsion while encouraging craftsmanship, sportsmanship, and friendly competition. The competition entry fee is $10. Saturday, November 19th.
