Events

Teams are forming now for the American Cancer Society Relay For Life in your community. Relay teams set up camp, generally at a high school track, and take turns walking around it for the next 18-24 hours. Festivities include entertainment, food, tent decorating, games, and prizes. An ACS Relay For Life is a great way for a community – from students to senior citizens – to work together in the fight against cancer. Teams usually have 8 to 15 members who take turns walking around the track at the Relay event. The teams may include cancer survivors, family members, friends, co-workers, or members of social and civic organizations. Relay festivities include entertainment, food, tent decorating, games, raffles, and prizes throughout the all-night event. As cancer never sleeps, participants are up and walking around the track for the full time fighting for the cure.
