Sustainability Summit - Unleashing our Creative Genius: The Sustainability Summit, with keynote speaker David Korten from "Yes!" magazine, is the kickoff to the transition to a resilient, sustainable, and more hopeful future. The Summit will connect and expand efforts such as the Food Summit, the Buy Local program, and Sustainable Thurston and engage more community members in this important work.

Speaker David Korten will provide a framework for creating resilient communities in response to climate change, peak oil, and economic instability, preceded by a panel of local experts offering insights into what we may expect in this regard in our own region. Exhibits will showcase available strategies for creating resilience and breakout sessions will encourage attendees to brainstorm their own ideas for transitioning to a sustainable future.
