"Raise a Pint for Those Who Would" Blood Drive: The FDA regulates all blood donation in the United States. Men who have sex with men are barred from giving blood. Despite this discriminatory policy, a group of gay men and their allies have decided to adopt a blood drive, encouraging friends, family, and community members to donate blood on their behalf.
