station tours
Tour groups may be scouts looking to satisfy the requirements of a particular merit badge, students exploring an interest in the possibility of radio as a career or just people interested in what the "other side of the mic" is like. A basic tour consists of a short station overview, explaining the station as a business, followed by a visit with the announcer in the studio. This allows the group to see and hear the announcer at work and what it's like to work in radio. We also show the group how we collect news, weather and other information. Tours can customized to any age group from school children on up. Tours generally take about 45 minutes. If you would like to arrange a tour for your group, please call our General Manager, David Rauh, at 360-943-9937. Tours need to be scheduled in advance and are limited to no more than 15 individuals at one time. |
